This nonprofit group saves abused and abandoned dogs, promoting responsible pet ownership by sharing pet care and health information. The organization also works with other animal rescue organizations in Los Angeles, California, to save abused and unwanted animals. While there is no Pug Station within the organization, Pug Rescue Arizona’s adoption fairs often include rescued dogs. The organization believes that every dog deserves a second chance, and supports a “No Kill” policy. It spends on average $2,000 per dog and works to rehabilitate and adopt as many abused or abandoned pugs as it can.
There are about 40 Pug Rescue organizations in the U.S., and Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is the largest and most prominent of them. Pugs are not known for growing on trees, so adopting a pug from a rescue is a great way to find a new furry friend and save a life. A pug adoption fee can be as much as $400, but the entire process is far less expensive than buying a puppy!
