It is a fact that Chihuahuas are very intelligent creatures. And most times, when they are being taken for a walk, it is their sense of hearing and sight that allows them to easily distinguish between familiar people and places as well as different animals. But you do not have to take your Chihuahua everywhere because there are some things that you need to do first before taking him out for a walk. These things include:

o Chihuahuas are very sensitive when it comes to their senses and if you try to get too close to it or if your dog tries to get too close to the Chihuahua, your pet could be frightened and might even attack you. You should also remember to use caution while playing with your pet as your dog might be scared by your touch or your movement.
o Before leaving your dog in your car, it is always a good idea to first put a blanket on him. The reason why is because if he becomes too excited and feels safe in your car, then it can be easy for him to get a sickening panic attack. Also, make sure that he does not eat or drink anything within thirty minutes of leaving him alone at home.
o Make sure that you bring your pet to its very own safe place. This means that you should make sure that it has an enclosed place where there is no outside noise. It is also very important to put some toys inside the area as this will help calm your pet down as well as distract him. Also, if you leave food in the car, make sure that it is placed within the same place as food so that your pet will not get hungry while you are away from home.
o It is also a good idea to set up a pen outside your house where you and your pet can spend your time away from the other distractions. This way, you can keep an eye on your dog and be more able to watch him or her without having to disturb his/her activities or worries.
