Labrador Retriever Rescue Tucson
In 2001, Krase was a police officer in Tucson when he responded to a welfare check and found two black Labradors with their owner deceased. One was adopted by a firefighter and Krase researched Labrador rescues to help find a new home for the other. After completing a volunteer application, Krase volunteered full-time with DLRR and eventually left her law enforcement job to help save Labs.
If you’re looking for a dog that is both playful and loyal, consider adopting a Labrador. Labs are very athletic dogs and enjoy running and swimming. A desert park will offer more room for running and playing. And if you’re looking for a cupcake for your pooch, visit Sprinkles for a sweet treat! The Labrador Retriever is one of the most intelligent breeds around and loves a challenge.
SOLR was founded in 2019 but began accepting dogs from California in April of this year. The organization is known for rescuing Labs and Lab mixes, but will also consider Golden retrievers. The rescue spends ninety percent of its budget on medical care, and last year spent $80,000 on medical costs. Fundraising events and donations help them stay in business. So please consider donating today! Your donation can go a long way in helping a rescued dog find a home.
