Labrador Retriever Rescue Illinois
If you’re looking for a new family member for your Labrador Retriever, then you’ve come to the right place. MLRR is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to finding Labs permanent homes. Before being adopted, each Lab goes to a foster home to determine its temperament and level of training. Applications from out of town are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Once approved, the Labrador must travel to the Chicago area to join the family.
Before the R&R Program can begin, L.E.A.R.N. evaluates each inmate and selects Labradors for placement. The dogs live with TCC handlers for two to eight weeks. The dogs learn basic dog manners, socialization, and behavior. Training handlers use positive reinforcement methods to train the Labradors. Then, they interact with the dogs and develop a bond.
