You may be wondering where you can find a Labrador Retriever for adoption in North Carolina. Thankfully, there are many Labrador Rescue organizations throughout the state. North Carolina has a number of popular lab rescues and many smaller non-profit organizations that provide assistance to many different breeds and types of dogs. Listed below are five of the most popular, as well as a few smaller rescues that serve a variety of different needs.

There are no main facilities at this organization, so its dogs live in foster homes throughout the state. Many of their dogs come from high-kill animal shelters, though they also take in strays and surrendered Labs. To adopt a dog, you must be at least 21 years old, live in North Carolina, and be aware of Labrador breeds. While it can take anywhere from five to fourteen days to process an application for adoption, once submitted, the dog will stay on the list for up to six months.
