The Husky Mutt is a medium-size working breed. The breed belongs to the Spitz breed family. It’s easily recognizable by its unusually thickly furred double layered double coat, square ears, and characteristic black markings, and even is smaller than an identical-looking male dog, the Alaskan Malamute, which weighs in at just over ten pounds. These dogs have an affection for children and enjoy playing with them. Even though they’re primarily a working breed, Huskies are also very affectionate towards other animals.

Husky’s are some of the most popular dogs in the United States and Canada, which is why you’ll often see ads for Husky mutts on Craigslist and other local newspapers. To date, there aren’t any purebred Huskies in the world. However, due to the popularity of the breed in the US and Canada, many owners wanted to breed Huskies and created breed combinations such as the Affenpinscher and the Siberian Husky.

The American Kennel Club (AKC) has received a lot of criticism due to approving a Husky mixed breed that really isn’t a Husky at all. In this case, it was a crossbreed between a Siberian Husky and a Maltese. Since crossbreeding like this is illegal in many states, this strain of Husky has been referred to as the husky moo mutt. Even though it wasn’t legally recognized by the AKC as a legitimate Husky, people who wanted to own a purebred husky still try to get their hands on one through legitimate breeding.
