Donna Toncic has been volunteering with SGRR since the beginning. She adopted Sadie in 2005, two days before Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. After Katrina, her heart ached for the rescued dogs. She initiated a follow-up program, oversaw volunteer processing, and has recently shifted her focus from adapting to the administration of the organization. Belinda first became a volunteer for SGRR in 2013. After adopting her first dog, she was inspired to volunteer. Belinda assisted with phone interviews, vet checks, and home visits. She also serves as the SGRR Board Secretary and liaison for the fundraising group. Belinda and Hap have adopted two dogs from SGRR. Recently, Belinda and Hap adopted their third dog, Lily. Sadly, Roxy passed away last year.
