Despite her small size, Emma is a sweet, beautiful Chihuahua with severe facial deformities. She has already undergone four surgeries in her first week of life, none of which have restored normal function. In addition to two more surgeries scheduled in the next few weeks, Emma will need long-term orthodontic treatment. Her owner, Dr. Tina Neel, has donated part of her treatment, but her total expenses have topped thousands of dollars.

Baby Emma is now 8 years old and doing fantastic. Her six surgeries have given her the ability to speak, walk, and be social. She is an inspiring symbol of human compassion around the world. She has even been involved in charitable outreach projects and posts puppy rants on the Internet. Her incredible story has inspired many to take on challenges and work toward their goals. Her courage and faith have helped other animals and people around the world.

After being rescued at an animal shelter in Tijuana, Emma was diagnosed with bilateral cleft lip and palate. Mango was abandoned at twenty hours of age but was already a healthy four-year-old Chihuahua. Dena Lamkin found Emma through a craigslist ad and immediately adopted her. She had a severely deformed face and a deformed palate. She was unable to nurse and needed to be fed every two hours. A feeding tube was placed in her mouth to avoid the cleft.

A four-year-old Chihuahua named Mango was rescued from a shelter. Her owners had no place to put him. However, Emma had a heart murmur and was scheduled for euthanasia. Luckily, her owners rescued him and put him with a family. After he had recovered from his traumatic experience, Mango was placed with a loving foster family.

Emma’s Cleft Palate Chihuahua Rescue has also placed paralyzed Chihuahuas with disabled vets. Aside from Emma’s Cleft-Palate Chihuahua, the charity places disabled veterans with their new pets in loving homes. The organization’s mission is to find homes for such dogs and help them lead fulfilling lives.

Emma’s family has been in the industry for five years and has adopted two Chihuahua ladies from a puppy mill.

They have saved hundreds of other dogs from puppy mills and have made a significant impact on the community by educating others about these dogs’ plight. Its mission is to save more dogs from these puppy mills. Its efforts have resulted in the adoption of Harley.

Emma’s surgery was successful. It repaired a small cleft in her back, but the front cleft is still wide open. Her face is deformed. She has a tiny twisted nose, crooked eyes, and a deformed smile.
