Austin Pit Bull Rescue – Education And Training

Austin Pit Bull Rescue is a not-for-profit, no-frills organization that serves dogs in need anywhere in the city. Their motto is “We love dogs, all dogs”. The mission of Austin Pit Bull Rescue is to rescue pit bulls from bad environments and give them a good life, the best we can. The dogs will be trained to do tricks, dance, and live music, they just need someone who loves them enough to spend time with them.

We serve around twenty dogs at any given time, and that number keeps growing as people learn about the work we do and how it benefits the community. A wonderful thing we are doing is allowing the pit bull population to grow and reproduce naturally. Our concern is for the pit bull’s safety, while we are all working to better the world. Our rescue group works diligently to accomplish this by working with owners, landlords, and responsible pitbull breeders. It is a never-ending task to keep this club, free and active.

There is an incredible array of things we offer our patrons who wish to help us save puppies from horrible situations.

The rescue offers free classes such as Pit Bulls for School, Socialization and Training, Advanced Obedience Training, and even Pit Bull Fly Fishing. At the end of the day, we must enforce laws that protect our pit bulls and we hope that others who share the same values would also consider helping us. We need your help, your generosity, your thoughts, and your prayers.

One of the ways we can help is through funding. Each time an abandoned or neglected Pit Bull is adopted, the rescue takes care of its vaccinations, immunizations, and health care bills until it finds a loving family who will take it to be the new owners forever. Through these programs, we can save many dogs together. Each dog will learn to respect each human being, which in return will treat them with kindness, respect, and gentleness.

One way in which we can help rescue dogs is through teaching. One of the simplest ways that every dog can be taught to respect another human being, other dogs, and other dogs, in general, is through basic training. Every puppy is different and so is each dog. It’s up to you to determine what the right program is for your particular pet and whether it fits your budget or your lifestyle. Most importantly though, the goal is for each dog to grow into a healthy, well-mannered adult dog.

A second way in which we rescue dogs is through fostering relationships.

Many people simply think of Pit Bulls as vicious dogs and this is not a true depiction of who they are. With proper socialization and training, Pit Bulls can learn how to take care of themselves and not harm other animals.

For us to effectively serve as advocates for these dogs, we must first learn to become one ourselves. This is why it’s essential to join a local rescue organization so you can get the education you need to properly advocate for your Pit Bull. Once you join or volunteer at an Austin Pit Bull rescue organization, you will begin to see the true caring nature of these incredible dogs.

When we accept our adopted pets into our homes, they immediately become part of our family. They become a part of our everyday routine. They become a member of the family, but more importantly, they become a beloved friend. As you learn more about Austin Pit Bull rescue, you may discover that one of the most important things to consider when adopting a Pit Bull is the person who will be caring for him or her. It’s your responsibility to ensure that the individual you choose is responsible and trustworthy. Make sure he or she is a good fit for your needs.

I picked up a stray that is in dire need of a rescue. He’s not injured or anything, and he has an awesome personality. His story is rather sad though and I want to do right by this guy. I’ve already started the ACC intake paperwork but that means this poor guy will be crated in the darkness of my garage till they respond, if they do. I’m in desperate need of help/resources and I feel like God just isn’t hearing my prayers. Will you? Thank you. I can tell you more by phone if you’d have the time.

    I’m located in NW Hills.
