American Pit Bull Terrier Temperament Stubborn
American Pit Bull Terrier Temperament: Since they are a more conservative breed, Pit Bulls are typically considered to be the type of dog that is less likely to bite. The reason for this is that they need to understand what the owner wants them to do before they will do it. While a large percentage of Pit Bulls have been a bit at some point in their lives, a large majority of the bites happen when they are younger and inexperienced with their human friends. A great percentage of bites occur because the dog or other animal doesn’t know how to properly respond to the owner’s commands.
While a well-trained dog may bite if they are cornered or in a confrontation, their bite is more likely to come out of frustration and not confusion or good communication. A dog with an aggressive personality and a higher level of aggression are much more likely to be a victim of being bitten. However, it is important to keep in mind that a Pit Bull’s natural inclination is to protect its life. This doesn’t mean that the dog does not tolerate other people, but they don’t display any signs of animosity. Most dog aggression occurs when the owner’s responses are not consistent with the dog’s expectations.
American Pit Bull Terrier Temperament: Pit Bulls are not as stubborn as they are mischievous. There are many things that can drive a dog to bite such as an impulse that is difficult to put in words or a fear. However, the Pit Bull’s mischievous behavior is the main reason that they are often categorized as the “Bully breed.” In spite of this, if the owner of the dog continues to give proper dog training to the dog, the dog will not become aggressive toward anyone. Also, if the owner of the dog respects the dog, the dog will begin to respect the owner.
