Great Dane For Sale and Great Dane Breeders
A few months ago I drove by an opulent white mansion in a high-end neighborhood in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire. Inside I saw dozens of Great Danes, scrunched together in corners and hiding behind run-down furniture. They slid about on a thick layer of waste. I wanted to help them but I wasn’t sure how. I decided to call Great Dane Rescue New Hampshire to learn more about their efforts.
On June 8th, the Humane Society of the United States seized 75 Great Danes from a home in Wolfeboro.
They ran a temporary shelter there until the pound was cleaned out and the dogs were given a new home. Until then, most of the dogs were still being treated by the Humane Society and waiting for a forever home. Now, the Humane Society and Great Dane Rescue New Hampshire are working to find the right homes for these dogs.
The case has been brought against Fay on two misdemeanor charges of animal neglect.
He is currently out on bail but more charges could come as the investigation continues. Several rescue partners across the country are preparing to transfer the dogs. As the case moves forward, Hamrick is calling for stricter animal cruelty laws in New Hampshire. In addition to criminal charges, Fay may be charged with environmental crimes and civilly for failing to vaccinate the dogs for rabies.
