The AKC Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is a member of the Labrador Retriever family. It is a medium-sized dog that is of medium height with a round head and strong, muscular body. The AKC Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier has a short, but solid body, well-defined legs, and shaded ears.

The AKC Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier comes in a variety of colors including chocolate, grey, red, golden, black and white. These dogs make an excellent addition to any household, whether they are used as a pet or not.

  • The Dog. The AKC Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is an adult size dog that can grow to about 55 pounds. This is an average weight for a dog of this size, but if you want to spend a lot of time outdoors and/or have small children around, then you may want to consider buying a smaller dog. While the AKC Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is hardy and can withstand the weather, they do require a lot of exercises.
  • Training. You can train your AKC Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier to walk on a leash. If you want to take your dog outside, and they don’t want to go, just tell them and they will go in no time. These dogs love to be outside and can learn to like being inside as well.
  • The Hounds. The AKC Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier has a nice, strong, yet soft coat. When you look at them, you will see that they are full of energy, even when you are not training them to go out and play.
  • The Grooming. There is a brush on the dog’s nose, as well as a grooming brush on their head. This is a good start for all breed dogs, but there is much more to it than that.
  • The Rough Bark. This dog has a very high pitched, wild bark. If you have a window with a loud fan, or worse, the garage door opens, then this dog will alert you, and they do not mind being outside and around other dogs and people. They have a lot of energy and will give you problems, but if you train them properly, they can be a great dog.
